Back Away Slowly

This article follows the canon of CIU, which deviates greatly (for Treble in Tokyo) or even minorly (other fanons) from canon. No one else is obligated to follow the SV canon.

Iolite is a short, lanky gem with shades of purple. She has a pointed face with wide, indigo eyes, side parted lilac hair which is pulled back into two curls at each side, held at the top and bottom with bows. Her ballgown-like dress has black straps and cover which come together at a blue diamond on her chest. Similarly, over her stomach, Iolite has a black waistband also with a blue diamond. Iolite also wears white, evening gloves and indigo boots with two inch heels.

Iolite is a very reactive gem. She's often seen as insane but also suffers from multiple personalities, the by-product of being transferred in and out of a Gem Transplant Body multiple times. As much as she is insane, Iolite can sometimes be considered calm and collected, especially while on the field with Melody Stone. At the mention of Hotaru Bead or Peacock Pearl, however, Iolite becomes very forlorn and reserved all of a sudden for no reason.

Iolite possess standard Gem abilities and traits.

  • Ringblade proficiency : Iolite is very talented with her ring blades, able to send them at an enemy with ease and strength.
  • Double Jointed-like : Because of her extreme flexibility in and out of situations, Iolite possess something like human double-jointed-ness where she can take on grotesque poses.

Unique Abilities

  • Mimicry : While generally limited to speech and shape shifting, Iolite is able to pick up any technique she wanted to easily.

Iolite tends to keep herself away from the other court members, as they all do, but she likes to watch over Peacock Pearl and grow close to Purple Diamond.

Image Description
Iolite's gemstone is located on the back base of her neck, and is a marquise cut and facet.
A photo of an actual Iolite.

  • Iolite is a more extreme and insane version of Peacock.
  • She was meant to be what Peacock Pearl became.
  • She was originally to be a Tanzanite.
  • Iolite are believed to unlock creativity.
    • This explains Peacock Pearl's attraction to watching Iolite fight.
